At one point we thought INSEX might merit a second pressing. This was the cover art that wasn’t used.
Bubaiskull (1990 - 1993) was a rock band from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Their main releases were:
INSEX
Drive By Suicide
Kitten
They also released various intentionally bad live recordings.
This is pretty much all they have left.

Here is a poster I designed for a show with these two bands in it, Scarce and Great Slave.
I wrote to Terry Pulliam the other day:
I suppose that’s what killed the band in the end. Trying to find a way to get a label to notice us. I was always against that strategy and I think time has proven me right. Look at labels these days, in complete disarray.
And so it goes.
Are you in a band and reading this? You know what you should read? You should read this: The Problem With Music by Steve Albini
Then save your money and build a home studio. Find a friend who screenprints to print your t-shirts. Burn your own CDs. Build yourself a website. Be nice to your fans. Be nice to your peers. Book your own tours. Play live like your life depended on it.

Hi Tom! Hi! TOM! Hi It’s me! Tom!
Haven’t we been a busy little social networker! Look! A myspace page! WOW!
UPDATE
We have more friends now. Scarce, The Hanson Brothers and Six Finger Satellite. Nice Friends!
Ask the Bubaiskull questions. Find out who else likes Bubaiskull. that is if you are more comfortable doing that sort of thing in Facebook. It’s not like you can’t comment on this site is it? By which I mean you can.

Well The Coast, which is a nice Halifax Newspaper, blogged this site. I’m not sure the Coast existed when we we’re around. Thanks The Coast! I put that cover on there cause it’s Terry who used to sell us beer dressed as Santa.
Greg Clark. Don’t let anyone tell you different. There would have been no scene without Greg.
Here is an article from back then.
You can get t-shirts and a hat HERE. The tiny amount of money this will generate will go towards paying for hosting this site. hahaha. As if. I’ll end up paying for this site out of my own pocket until some kind of techno-apocalypse ruins the Internet. What will you do then in your neo-primitive, agrarian based society?
Get one. You can wear it while you scrabble about trying to eke a living from the blasted earth. Or you could get it cause you’ll look cool and no one will know what the hell the t-shirt is proclaiming your approval of. You’ll be wearing a secret. Feel superior!
We also had a track on this compilation, Cod Can’t Hear. It was recorded live at the Deuce on Canada Day, 1992. I did the cover illustration but not the design.
Look at Tim’s LONG SILKY hair. I had forgotten about that.

Many thanks to Michael Jackson for scanning the cover AND ripping the mp3 AND sending it to me.
